Holidays ~finnito~
Another week gone and spells the end of the end-of-semester holiday. After reviewing the month long holidays I came to realize that having no holiday job this time was a disaster! I’d have to practically think twice or worse, trice, in everything I attempted to pay for… By the third-quart of my holidays, deciding whether to eat at home or eat out (of course when I was already out) was like deciding whether to go to school or not when I was already late. Of course, that’s pretty much “tricky” in a way.
In a worse case scenario, deciding to buy my contact lenses supply was like deciding whether to save Chia Yee’s pet dog in the middle of a highway with fast moving vehicles. I’ll save; no doubt, it’s the matter of “right time-ing”
What about buying a favourite (and yes, really meant “favourite”; not just ordinary) top? Boo, it’s like deciding whether to tie my brother asleep and release a couple of hungry mice in his bed or not; at one thought – he’s a useless bugger at home who constantly abduct my laptop away to his girlfriend’s house and forgets to bring it back… on the other – he will shrill like a wimpy gay causing terrible noise pollution and that will wake mom and dad who are innocently sleeping… A word to complete this… D-A-R-N!
On other thoughts, I think catching back times with old pals are really good. The holidays were pretty much filled with hanging out with old friends from primary and high schools. Afterall, most of us have spent 5 years or more with each other; learning and growing up together over the years. Recollection of the bitter, sour and sweet memories throughout the years with them have indeed brought me to realize that the sisters and buddies are the ones who have partially molded me to the person I am today. Ahh, too precious to lose; too much to forget. It was a good thing that technology and media are advancing so much to bring people closer and communication much easier and affordable.
Something which I oughta mention here: I HAVE A MICROPHONE and it’s AWESOME! Talking through the internet to friends in UK, Aussie and NZ for 3++ hours, is this not enough? Well, get this: With Skype.com the lag phase is much, much, MUCH shorter compared with the lag phase when you talk on the ordinary phone! Better? All for the amount of that mic that you may steal from the boy next door and our proud local Streamyx that you’d have probably conned your parents into believing it was all for your non-existent projects and finally gave in and pay till today! Great deal ay?!
