Going through some old videos

Aaah, found Sarah McLachlan’s “World on Fire” playing. Being me who have this not-so-ordinary-type of hobby to watch music videos and think about what I’ve watched, I think besides the music “What’s going on” (originally produced by Marvin Gaye) and remade by the Bravo All Stars in 2001, McLachlan’s videography is yet another thought-provoking piece.

Hearts break, hearts mend
Love still hurts
Visions clash, planes crash
Still there’s talk of saving souls,
still the cold is closing in on us

And of course, the none other than Good Charlotte’s “Hold On” was one I remember they’d made a relatively good delivery of a message. Conveniently made for the suicidal youth nation. Imagine this; at every 17.2 minutes somebody dies of suicide. The music featured the true family members and friends of suicide victims. The video, unmistakenly had sorta became a “wake up” message to many people in the States to care and reach out to the ones who need help.

But we all bleed the same way as you do
And we all have the same things to go through
Hold on if you feel like letting go
Hold on it gets better than you know
