To the Land of Bars and Grey grey Sky
First of all, the experience coming here was psycho-driven to start of with. As dear mom suggested i put my hand-carry stuffs in an inflattable bag, a larger one compared to my backpack, i was stopped at the Singapore airport despite even having the weight less than the limit given. As i explained to the Mr so-called-nice-dude that my bag is an inflattable one, he said that because the flight’s a full=house one, and everyone has too many hand-carry luggages, it would be a great idea that i tag my bag just in case by the time i get into the plane and i’ve no more space to put my bag. And i was not the only one. There were 18 others. By the time we reached Glasgow, the worst that we’d thought happened… we could not find the tagged luggages. All forty f***ing items! WTF WTF WTF! In the end all 18 of us filed some paperwork and the Ms. Scottish there claimed that our baggage were delayed and that we have to go back first and that they will tell us the whereabouts of the missings by 6pm. Blergh… the time was 12 noon. Anyway, thank goodness by 6pm, not only did our village officer told us that the airport employees had found our luggage but also told us some of them were on the way already. The agonizing 6 hours were over after i saw the missing one.
Okay! Scotland… The locals really did… i mean do… (sigh… it’s all in their tourist guide!) mention that their bars are good and Scotland’s never Scotland without her bars! It’s a “must” kinda hangout place. Even the lecturers over here said so.
Like I’ve always told my peepz, Scotland’s all grey and wet. And i was soooo right! The good news is, according to one of the locals here, this summer week was apparently the “sunniest” one. At other times, it was all drizzling and rainy. Temperature can go down till 8 degrees. Wanna cry also cannot, later tears also can beku. Big SIGH… Fingers are cracking, face is peeling. To my juniors who are reading this, YES, buy whole loads of moisturizer, especially if you have sensitive skin!
Oh well, Glasgow’s one heck of a place. Fantastic for her buildings designs. All with the 16th century touch. Great place to appreciate these sorts. The people are straightforward, friendly and they’re just great.
