I love my job and there is a spastic man in my office!

Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia is a neutral ground, i must say. I never never NEVER… ever… could have learned to be more diplomatic (EVER) since I gave myself in for Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia in year 2006.

Looking it this way…
I worked in a highly stress-induced area for the past 15 months. The team? They consist of the nurses, medical assistants, medical officers and specialists from every discipline and I think I generally worked well with most of them. I have finally made some changes in the service and most of team members acknowledged the difference. So I finally felt that my effort had brought some light into my general profession, not only to myself but also to my other colleagues who battle for the same. We have made such an impression that the Head of Departments (aka bosses) from OTHER departments acknowledged us by getting some places for certain development programmes to improve further patients care as a team. MY boss, however… totally rejected such acknowledgements, refused such offers which will totally will not harm the department of pharmacy anyhow, and still think that our professional occupation is acknowledged by how many double-layer document called CP2, recognized by the Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia, we filled. Any pharmacist who serviced the KKM would know this.

But if you are someone who came about here by googling, let’s just make you understand… a cp2 is like.. a journal of your weekly shopping receipts. It is useless to other strangers but it is probably something your mom would like to see so that she can either scream at you for overspending or smile with glee when you managed to write in less purchases? So, sometimes, you lie to yourself (and your spastic mom) by doing otherwise anything that will make her happy. Anyways, what the daughter did was still keeping the journal but her money was given to an aunt for goodwill. And by this goodwill, she was grounded at home and not able to see other aunties, or even shop anymore.

How about a more positive sight?
After OVERworking at a highly-stressed area, my colleague decided to take charge of my 15-month “home” and complained that I work too much. So, my boss decided to reduce my stress by letting me take care of just one area. Simple task, no brainers that even a non-pharmacist can do my job. AWESOME! So I figured maybe I could go to clinic and work with the specialists to work with patients who are in an agonizing lifetime curse… of pain… MAYBE the boss thinks that it takes alotta stress to do this as well, he decided to say “NO”. double AWESOME. I am super-duper in love with my job now. weeee!

Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia actually made this man to be a head of department of the pharmacy department and paid him to get people like us who really want be involved to improve our healthcare system and he just got one person kept in cold storage (literally).

SPASTIC or mega-spastic?

Go figure…
